I just want to start today's post out by saying THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! I was really unsure about sharing my struggle with infertility. Infertility isn't something that is really talked about that much. But I am so happy that I opened up and If I help even one person who is going through the same situation it is well worth it. The amount of emails and comments that I received was truly overwhelming and I am so thankful for each and every one (and I plan on responding to each and every one). They all made me feel so much better and they made me realize that I am not alone in this struggle. Thank you all for your prayers, all the well wishes and for all of the support. I was in shock when I woke up from surgery and Matt handed me my phone and it was such a nice feeling. So thank you all so much, it really means more then you know
My surgery went as well as it could have gone. They did not have to remove my tube! They removed the scar tissue from my tube, endometriosis from my uterus and a polyp. I am feeling pretty good. I think the worst part was that they pumped me full of air and I had a lot of pain in my ribs and shoulders (weird) from all the air. I spent all weekend on the couch with Matt and my sisters watching old movies but I am finally starting to feel back to normal! Today I am going to get my stitches out (ouch)! Then I go back in 2 weeks for a post op appointment with my doctor and we will go over what he did in more detail and he can show me pictures, which I am dying to see. My doctor did say I could start my IVF cycle with my next period. I just have no idea when that will be because from the surgery and everything else my system totally off schedule!
I am planning on blogging about my IVF journey. Nothing to crazy but I think once a week or so will post a update of some sort. I hope it will be helpful to other women going through the same thing.
