Currently Craving Post Baby

I really just can not wait to be wearing regular clothes again. Being pregnant and "styling my bump" has been so much fun up until about 37 weeks. Now it is just so huge that it really has been challenging and I haven't wanted to buy any new maternity clothes the last three weeks. I just don't see the point.

I am especially dying to wear regular jeans. There are so many pairs that I am really craving and I just can't wait to wear some of my old favorites. So I go online and look at all the cute clothes that I can't wait to buy, so today I just wanted to share a few of the things that are on my wish list.

We went to the Dr. yesterday and nothing has really changed. They will not induce me until next Monday night which is almost a week over my due date. I don't really want to be induced but I can not imagine being pregnant for much longer. We are praying that she will come on her own before then but if not we have to wait a whole week. Which to me seems like forever. I am just literally dying to hold her and see what she looks like. The suspense is killing us.

Also, I am not sure if any of you remember this picture from Instagram a while ago?

Well a almost identical version of this bathing suit is available here. The only thing that is different is there is a little more black on the top. But it is the same brand, Topshop. It sold out so quickly last summer. I know it is freezing out but I just thought I would let you guys know so you can grab it before it sells out. It is my favorite bathing suit. I think it runs a little on the small side. I went up one size.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I am going to try to get some pictures done today and hopefully have a outfit post up tomorrow! Oh and we got a new camera for Christmas so I can not wait to use it. I have been playing with it and I am really obsessed with it!

  6. Hi Jade!
Love your name by the way. It's my middle name as well as my baby girls middle name.

I was in your same boat two years ago when my little girl didn't want to budge. My due date was 1-1-2013. I was hoping she would be the first new years baby so we could receive all the gifts that Oprah gives to the first new years baby!.. lol

I remember going to the DR for our 39 week appointment which technicall was 39 weeks and 2 days since Christmas fell on that Tuesday it was moved to Thursday. When I was checked there was no change from previous appointments which meant I was closed up, locked, and nothing happening. Well, the very next day I woke up to contractions, light but noticeable and I pretty much had them all day long. I was working so I went to work. Everyone told me to go home but I had nothing to do at home but be myself. My hubbs was working and diligently working on our new house as well because we were builidng a new home. So I decided to stay work. I'm right by the hospital too so I was close if I needed to go. By the end of the work day, nothing changed and the contractions were not strong enough to make me call the DR. I went home, chilled out and ate a light snack. By this point the contractions stopped. I was a little disappointed because I was thinking "this is the beginning" and then when everythign stopped I figured it was just braxton all day. Well at 4am I woke up with extreme painful contractions and I knew it was something. As a new mom to be and all the books I read, the things happening to my body were signs of early labor. The contactions were spaced out so I knew it was not time to go to the hospital. I took my time showering, getting the bag all situated and double checking. Anyway...my labor and delivery story is anything from short but my point is, one day you will not have anything going on to BOOM, everything is going on. I was very much like you and didn't want to induce. I wanted her to come when she was ready. Plus inductions are more painful because your body is not ready and you're forcing it into labor. So many fears and thoughts but I kept remembering to relax and there was a plan and God had his plan for us and our baby girl. She made her entrance when she was ready and listened to her mama. I told her she come make her debut any day but Christmas Day. I wanted her to have her own special day and not shared with anyone else. I think your special girl will do the same. She knows when it will be time and she will let you know.

Just remember to enjoy this time with your husband. It's such a wonderful time. I know some people don't like the hospital stay but those days there in the beginning with just your husband and the anctipation of your meeting your baby face to face is so special. Then when she is finally in your arms and it's just the three of you, nothing will ever take that time away. Enjoy it, breathe it, embrance it! You will do exactly what you are meant to do and let the doctors and staff do their job. You relax, take pictures, and enjoy. Everything will be perfect, just for you!

Ya'll are in my thoughts and prayers and I can't wait to hear about your baby girl and learn her name.
